About Ideal Siding

Ideal Siding is one of North America's fastest-growing siding companies, revolutionizing how homeowners experience exterior renovations. With a strong network of franchise partners, we deliver premium siding solutions combining expert craftsmanship with cutting-edge products and unmatched customer service. As we continue to scale across new territories, we’re looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to help us elevate standards, train new franchisees, and ensure best-in-class quality across all locations.

About the Role

The Technical Sales Specialist plays a key role in strengthening field execution across the network. This position focuses on identifying installer capacity, delivering hands-on training, reinforcing installation standards, and collecting real-world insights from jobsites and crews within assigned territories.

This role works closely with franchisees and their teams, including operations leaders, sales managers, installer crews, and subcontractors, to elevate installation quality, improve consistency, and drive operational efficiency. Reporting to the VP of Franchise Operations, the Technical Sales Specialist contributes directly to installation excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a strong working knowledge of company services, installation programs, and technical standards to effectively support franchise partners and their teams.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with installers and subcontractors to improve quality, consistency, and long-term retention.
  • Identify skill gaps or execution issues in the field and provide hands-on support through jobsite coaching, follow-up visits, training sessions, audits, and skills assessments.
  • Perform pre- and post-training evaluations to measure compliance, skill development, and improvements in installation quality.
Collaborate with leadership and Technical Sales Managers on action plans aimed at improving market execution, installer performance, and overall contractor effectiveness.
  • Gather contractor-level economic insights and direct feedback from crews related to costs, workflow challenges, and operational barriers.
  • Plan and manage a weekly schedule that prioritizes high-impact jobsite visits, targeted territories, and follow-up activity.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Practical construction experience, preferably with siding installation or related exterior construction work.
  • Demonstrated success in a technical, construction-focused, or field support role.
  • Solid understanding of construction operations and applicable building codes.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, AI-enabled tools, and Google Workspace.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a Big Impact: You’ll shape how siding is taught and executed across dozens of markets.
  • Work with a Growing Brand: Be part of a fast-scaling franchise company with a strong reputation and ambitious expansion plans.
  • Flexible Work Options: Based in Burnaby with hybrid flexibility.
  • Supportive, Values-Driven Culture: We care about doing great work and supporting our team every step of the way.
  • Extended Health Benefits package, including dental and vision care.

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
